                         Review

You probably are aware of the fact that I love Garrick a little bit. I’m not exactly quiet about it. I’ve read Losing It three times now (once on “accident”) and I loved reading the scenes Cora released of key moments in Losing It from Garrick’s POV. So I was pretty stoked, to say the least, about this novella. I’m not a huge novella fan – I tend to be an all or nothing kind of person when it comes to reading – but in this case, any more time with Garrick that Cora is willing to put to paper and share, I will take it!
I kind of forgot halfway through that it was a novella and then got really sad when it ended - it totally snuck up on me. But this novella combined my love for Garrick with my love for travel. Bliss and Garrick go to London! And that was amazing. It was really awesome to see Garrick in his element and his friends were my favorite. I loved the way they joked about how Garrick and Bliss met and actually just their presence was great.

I really liked, too how Cora managed to tackle the issues of the happily-ever-after aftermath and what it actually means to commit to someone. All the responsibilities that come with building a  life together are pretty huge and these two are kind of forced to talk about how they're going to provide for each other and what their thoughts are on starting a family. They're also forced to come to terms with what it means to integrate yourself into another person's family. It's amazing how she balances their intense love for each other with some very serious and practical conversations.

But really, it was fun to come back to these characters I've come to love so much. It has the humor and the wit that I've come to expect from Cora's writing. It's a really quick read and it's so worth it to get another little snapshot of these incredible characters. Bliss and Garrick forever!

About Keeping Her

Garrick Taylor and Bliss Edwards managed to find their happily-ever-after despite a rather . . . ahem . . . complicated start. By comparison, meeting the parents should be an absolute breeze, right?

But from the moment the pair lands in London, new snags just keep cropping up: a disapproving mother-in-law-to-be, a more than one (mostly) minor mishap, and the realization that perhaps they aren't quite as ready for their future as they thought.

As it turns out, the only thing harder than finding love is keeping it.
